The Aventurine gem possibly gets its name from its supposed accidental discovery and its rarity. It contains specks of colored minerals such as hematite or mica. Light reflecting from these particles produces a glittery, or aventurescent, effect. Aventurine is a form of cryptocrystalline quartz whose uniqueness is the ability to disperse white light into the seven spectral colors.
This pendant also contains a cubic zircon. The colorless variety shown here is often used as a diamond substitute.
The lovely stones in this pendant are beautifully wrapped with 14 carat gold-fill wire.
This piece of fine jewelry is only $65.95 and shipping is free.
