

Obsidian is a dark, nearly black (although it is found in other colors), semi-transparent volcanic glass produced when molten igneous rock or lava pushes through the earth's surface and cools so rapidly that it's ions do not have time to crystallize. Obsidian was praised by early civilizations who used it to make weapons and tools.
This pendant contains a cubic zircon, the colorless variety of which is often used as a diamond substitute, and a lovely white pearl and all are enhanced by wrapping with 14 carat gold-fill wire.
